Big Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant

The Big Rebuild’s secondary project logo, with a gray sink faucet extending to the right from the word “The,” “BIG” in all capital, medium blue text, and “Rebuild” below. The sink faucet shows three drops of light blue water dripping from its spout.

The Big Cottonwood Water Treatment Plant, located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, was constructed between 1957 and 1959.

Due to aging infrastructure, Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities is in the process of developing a plan to rebuild this plant.
